The Ski Resort

With 92 lifts and 412 km of prepared slopes counts the 4 Vallée to one of the best ski resorts in the Alps.

From the 3,300 m high Mont Fort, with his challenging mogul slope or with his never ending ski route down to Torton, to easy beginners slops – the ski resorts can offer everything. Plenty and in great shape and variety.

Even after 10 years we have not managed to ski down all slopes of the resort. There are simply too many and the resort is too big. But we work on it and have the plan to ski every year some of the slopes we did not manage yet. So reducing step by step our list of unskied slopes.

And if not: no problem. The ‘house mountain’ of La Tzoumaz round the peak of Savoleyres offers enough skiing for one week vacation. And through the fact being north of the mountain, skiing in La Tzoumaz in spring is much longer possible compared to Verbier and its slopes. Latest in March you will see and ski the difference!

Overall that part of the ski resort is an ideal training area for families and beginners. Not as hectic and sportive as the Verbier part, you share the slopes here with families and their kids as well as skis schools. And even the better skiers can find some areas where they can quietly train on their own technique before deploying it in the step slopes on the Verbier side.

And the really ‘hungry’ skiers can go over to Verbier and find all the deep snow, mogul slopes, half pipe and other challenges.
